Other Information:

Flights – If you have any concerns regarding your flights to Europe, please contact your travel agent or have a look at the Smart Traveller website. Please also remember to send your flight details to Jenny.

Repertoire – Anne has been working very hard to create a varied and exciting repertoire of songs for us to sing whilst performing at our various venues in Europe. The selection continues to be refined and will be posted here as soon as it is finalised. For further explanation of how music is chosen refer to “Choir Repertoire Selection” on the Member’s Page.

Tour Concerts – Concerts are being organised for Prague, Lake Bled, Vienna and at the Salzburg Choral Festival. Excitingly, we already have a Slovenian Choir who will join us on Lake Bled and are keen to perform Waltzing Matilda with us. Details of the other concerts are to come.

Accommodation Prague -  For those arriving earlier, the accommodation details for the first night of the tour are:

  • Vienna House Diplomat, Prague – Reservation No. 407967 (Group name: CC&A/230626/WON). Contact the hotel via email: info.diplomat-prague@hrg-hotels.com

Accommodation Munich  - For those wishing to stay on in Munich the Hotel details are:

  • Holiday Inn Munich South – Reservation No. 6421666 (Group name: WON)

Insurance – Please ensure you have insurance for this trip and have provided the details to Jenny.

Passports – Thank you to all for providing your details to Jenny.

Visa requirements - Europe is setting up for the introduction of the Schengen Area Entry System. Australians do not need a Schengen visa for the four countries we are visiting – Czechia, Slovenia, Austria and Germany. However, enhanced security arrangements will be in place and possible facial recognition or fingerprinting will possibly result in significant delays upon arrival in Europe. Ensure you will have enough stopover/turnaround time if you are changing flights within Europe.

You may need arrival documentation for other countries so check with your travel agent if you are doing further travel.

Click HERE if you want to know more about the new Europe Entry/Exit System (EES).

Smart Traveller (smartraveller.gov.au) is a great source of information if travelling overseas. It contains all travel warnings for countries etc

WhatsApp – when we are in Europe we will be using WhatsApp to communicate with the group. There will be firm rules in place about how this will be used.

Please download WhatsApp onto your mobile by March 14th. It is free.

All choir members will then receive an invitation from our group on WhatsApp. You may accept or decline. It is not compulsory to accept but if you decline you will need to organize a travelling friend/partner to pass on the information as we will not be using email in Europe.

Vaccinations- see your GP or a travel doctor to check if you need any vaccinations. Allow many weeks for this as you may need time between vaccinations.

NB: Prague currently has a measles epidemic.
